Mhaldor,
Long have you left your fortress only to slay the equally foolish and
weak. Long have you boasted of your accomplishments over the East, while
taking for granted the decency of the North. Recently, you learned to
fear Ashtan as the mighty bastion destroyed all of your precious icons,
one by one. But your arrogance did not end there, it seems. You
challenged Chaos itself, and we have accepted.
Now you have felt the Spear of Lord Babel. You have watched your
citizens fall repeatedly at our hands alone, unaided by outsiders. You
have watched your efforts to maintain your own Lord's shrines fail again
and again. Small are our numbers, but our will and potential are
limitless.
Your shrine itself is meaningless to us. Thus, it is my pleasure to
announce its return to you; for the time being, we have taught the
lesson well enough. But remember this: Chaos rules this world, and those
who seek to impose artificial structure will meet only destruction and
futility.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Aeguary, in the year 574 AF.
