Necromancy

Tyrannus,
The Crown of the Ithmia steers its own course beholden to no foreign
power, whether ally or enemy. Hashan urges you not to make the mistakes
of your adversaries in the East. Those who stand outside your walls need
not be your enemies.
Note well our opposition to your attempts to restrict the art of
necromancy to within your walls, for the Crown stands as a bastion of
learning and knowledge, and brooks no restrictions upon its citizens'
ability to practice the arts they wish to, for knowledge of itself is
neither good, nor evil but merely turns to it in the hands of
mortalkind. Note well that we stand opposed to any and all attempts to
limit our perception and potential, whether they originate from the
book-burners of Shallam or elsewhere.
No Hashani necromancer will raise his hand against your fortress, nor
against the tenets of the Seven Truths, but all Hashani necromancers
will be welcome, safe and free within our walls. If that requires that
those who wish to practice that dread art do so as enemies of your city,
then so be it.
I am,
Ruth Yuridja-Keyte
Seneschal of the Crown
Penned by my hand on the 21st of Scarlatan, in the year 570 AF.
