Forgiveness

My Good Archprelate,

I didn't realize the Church's good graces extended so far as to forgive
those they wronged. Perhaps I am simply too alien of your culture to
understand the purpose behind offering forgiveness when in fact you
should be asking to receive such. It is far easier to forgive when you
have wronged, then forgive when you have been wronged, I suppose?

I do wonder if the Church would be so "forgiving" of Eleusis if it was
the Basilica, as opposed to a forest, that was burned and if it was
Eleusis, as opposed to the Church, doing the burning.

Perhaps you could enlighten us all further with your blessed wisdom?
