Darkenwood

Eleusis,
For the greater Good, Shallam laid siege to the Darkenwood. We have
explained our reasons on these boards and we have met with your leaders
to explain in detail what happened and why.
Lord Twilight cares nothing for the forests. He has played a part in
attacks upon them in the past, and the very ritual used to create the
unnatural Darkenwood was an attempt to attack Lady Gaia. The Father of
Lies has corrupted that forest for His own use ever since. The anchor
was placed there quite on purpose and the forest was to be nothing more
than a pawn sacrificed for His game. I trust the shattering of Obelisk
of Darkness by Lady Miramar's Judgement was a surprise to Him, at least.
The craven calling for your village to renounce Shallam is a Darkwalker
himself. Darknight's attempts to oppress your lives by deplorable means
and asks that you abandon your allies. Despite his claims, he knows not
of Justice; only Vengeance, deceit, and cowardice. Ashtan may not have
attacked the forests directly, yet their citizens are more than free to
do so and they are allied with Mhaldor. Even if you did agree to their
terms, Ashtan would break any peace when it conveniences them.
There is a careful balancing act that those of Good must play, and if
Nature was harmed in the process of our necessary victory over Darkness,
we are deeply sorry as our intention was never that. Long has my city
been friends with your village despite our different causes. Remember
what we have done for each other in the past. If this does not bring
Balance, I ask that you solely punish me, no matter how greatly. I
extend the same offer to Oakstone. Let our powers move on and continue
as we always have.
