Departing Ashtan on a cool, foggy afternoon, Anke Mercadia set out on
what would transform into a violent and eventful hunt. Reaching the
Azdun dungeon around nightfall, Anke inspected her inventory. Tightly
clutching her Infernal Medallion, one awarded only to those who have
exhibited great bravery against the heathen dirt worshippers of nature,
she set about insuring she had all the items necessary to carry out a
lengthy hunt. Unbeknownst to her, no item, neither vial nor blade would
be of much assistance for what lied ahead.
Creeping downward into the stone walled dungeon of Azdun, she observed
normal activities. Goblins rushing to and forth with the days load of
dirt and gems. Paying no heed, Anke made her way further into the Azdun
dungeon. A mhun warrior, sat eating his lunch for some time, looked up
at the yonge Ashtanite, and issued her a warning.
"Be careful down below I have often heard of beasts in the area, but
there is something with stone skin that rushed by earlier. The beast was
muttering about revenge." Said the Mhun, in an alarmed and dazed stupor.
Backhanding the mhun for daring to address her without permission, Anke
readied her blade and began the walk further into the dungeon. Brushing
cobwebs off her face, she steadied on to her mission objective, the
Mushroom of Circles that are rumored to take mortals to another realm.
However, this was an area Anke would not be reaching today. For
something vile lied in secrecy, awaiting her.
Moving further into the dungeon, the stone floor started to show signs
of vegetation, and soon enough, there was dirt under her feet, and lush
grass. She had made it. The Underground Forest of Azdun. With a sigh of
relief, having found the correct path, Anke proceeded two more steps,
when without warning, she was ripped into the air by surprise. A trap!
Anke had seen these before, set up by no other than one of the spear
throwing, narcotic chewing heathens that worship the gods of misfortune,
an Oakstone member.
Upside down, and frantically reaching for her dagger, Anke began to hack
away at the rope that suspended her high in the air by a tree branch.
That is when the entire earth began to shake. Upside down and looking
deeper into the dark forest, a massive Golem, extraordinarily larger
than any normal dirt golem, began to rush towards Anke, shaking the
earth under its feet. Rushing through her panicked mind, she thought
only one thing: This is the rumored Golem of legend that once hunted
members of the Mhaldorian Lumber Yard, now reborn Ordus Incensus
Arboris. Until that exact moment of panic, it was merely a tale of
fright. But now it was true.
The Colossal Golem rushed with incredible speed and swung on the poor
Ashtanite, missing by mere inches, Anke was able to free herself with
her old trusty dagger. Rubbing the tattoo on her left arm and issuing a
chant, a thin shield formed around Anke, who stood in defiant and
defensive posture ready for war.
With a stony grin on his face, the Colossal Golem smashed Anke with a
power kick, slamming her into a stone wall back towards the entrance.
Anke begin to glow white hot, and a bursting sound rushed through the
air. A second later she stood, completely healed, granted a new lease on
life, by the power of the stars. The enforcer that did the dirty work
for the scared village of Eleusis began to close in once again. Fight or
flight response kicked in, and there surely was no fight left in Anke.
Leave now, and fight another dayor was that truly what she was thinking?
Nay. Anke, one of the bravest and best of OIA began to remember a class
they had taught her years ago in Ashtan, in her early days as a
combatant. Backflipping out of the reach of the stony dirt fisted beast,
Anke dashed as fast as she could, and ran quickly to the southern
portion of lower Azdun. The beast thundered behind her. Anke tripped
running up the stairs to upper Azdun, but handspringed back onto her
feet. Finishing his lunch, the mhun warrior looked up in surprise seeing
Anke coming right at him. Punching the mhun square on the chin, and with
great ease, Anke lifted the mhun into the air and threw him down the
stairs. Again dashing away for safety, Anke could hear the wail and
crunch of the mhun being smashed by the Colossal Golem, not even slowing
him down.
Anke continued to run as fast as she could, until morning time. Her
lungs would have given out much sooner if not for the severity of the
situation. The marvelous gates of Ashtan had never looked so good as
they did now. Using her telepathy, she prepared for what would be a
moment of glory. Perhaps the beast can be slain.
Looking back several hundred yards, Anke could see the Golem tracking
her path. Anke stood firmly at the gates. With its eye on the prize, the
Colossal Golem sprinted once last time towards the gates of Ashtan. Anke
ran to the northwest, to the entry of the Merchants Quarter. With a
dreadful look of evil in her eyes, she stopped running, and looked back
over her shoulder at the stunned and surprised Golem. Her hands began to
crackle with a blue energy. Raising her arms high and laughing
sadistically, Anke coated all possible exits in ice. The beast was
trapped. And that is when the hammer of doom would fall.
Rushing out of the shadows, the massive blue maw of the Dragon Tanris
knocked the beast to the floor, followed by the terrible red skinned
Dragons Quazzi and Andraste, pinning the creature to the ground by both
arms. Descending from the skies, a magnificent silver dragon by the name
Isis slammed the scrambling beast on its back, knocking it again the
floor. Biting down on its leg with a massive silver jaw, the beast had
only one leg left, which didn't last for more than a split second when a
massive Black Dragon named Drazik Lokenlinde pinned it to the floor,
acid burning away at the rocky appendage.
Completely pinned to the floor, and with anguish and defeat on its rocky
face, the now pitiful golem struggled to look up. Much like the mortals
he serves, tears ran down its stone face. Looking up in terror, he saw
Anke towering over him.
"Ordus Incensus Arboris!" cried Anke, slamming a longsword through its
head, the teary eyed golem crumbled to pieces.
The soul of the beast began to form in a green fog over its own corpse.
"Pray." Anke silently uttered.
With the wail of a small crying child, the haze dispersed, and the beast
was gone. The Bastion of the North was safe from the from the Oakstone
invader. Remembering her class that kept her alive on this day, Anke
recalled with fondess being taught the hasty ambush. A tactic that
disperses large numbers of enemies at once. Enemies like those that
would dare claim the world for themselves. Oakstone.

"Only through our Father and our Founder, Tiamat Blades will we find
Salvation through the death of Nature! We shall round up all its
members, and burn them alive! If you have been wronged by Oakstone,
Eleusis, or any of its brainwashed members, seek MLY. We shall fight for
you, and lead from the front to oppose the tyrannical rule of Oakstone's
grip. Ordus Incensus Arboris!" -Infernal Lord Xenomorph
