New Mhaldor

I read Father Herenicus' post denouncing the depiction of Mhaldorian law
by Strider Fyr Ravensong, which was followed by the expressions of well
justified rage of the Tyrannus Sabiru, with a great sense of
disappointment.
If I understand both posts correctly, it appears that Mhaldor
surrendered to some of the values and pressures of the East and no
longer believes that slaves are 'too stupid to be able to formulate any
critical or intelligent thought' - a reason slaves were not allowed in
the past to post to Public news without Viceroy's permission.*
I saw it as a strength of Mhaldor and individual followers of Evil, that
ability to see and accept the truth as it is, facts as they present
themselves and not those distorted by neither the dreams of eternal
Happiness, Justice and universal Good; nor by the dreams of Power,
Superiority and world Domination.
And what are the facts here? It is an undisputable fact that Novices in
any City, ARE 'stupid', not able to formulate critical or intelligent
thought on the matters of Achaea while they struggle with comprehending
their Novice's requirements. Great number of them disappear within a
short period of time anyway, never to be seen again, unfit or unwilling
to serve any God or any City in any capacity. That was the reality of
slavery in Mhaldor, as I saw it, the fundamental fact of slaves'
inadequacies and worthlessness that needed to be accepted and embraced
as a first step in their service to Twin Lords. I saw it as a strength
of both the City and its Masters. Slaves needed to prove themselves,
prove their mental abilities and their basic comprehension of rather
difficult concepts of Evil values and the willingness to embrace them,
in order to be promoted out of slavery to not only participate fully in
the City life, but represent those values on the public forums. Claiming
that this is no longer the case and somehow Novices arriving in Mhaldor
are superior to all others to begin with, is simply a wishful thinking
and pitiful distortion of reality; just because it's done 'western
style', does not make it any less contemptuous.
It is the falsehood of the East, as I still see it, and its fundamental
weakness in feeding their Novices with delusions of personal entitlement
and democratic sense of equality and ability of all to follow the 'path
of critical thought and true knowledge'. I'm disappointed to see once
glorious Mhaldor embracing those destructive values.
But I guess, the idea of harsh slavery was just too harsh a reality to
swallow for many 'modern' Novices and quality is being replaced with
quantity even in the City of Evil. Pity, indeed.
Unless of course I misunderstood what both Father Herenicus and Tyrannus
Sabiru so eloquently said. I'm still struggling myself with
understanding of the concepts of Evil and various realities of life in
Sapience and I'm still learning to formulate intelligent thoughts on
most matters.
Also, I need to add, this in no way is a judgement on personal
capabilities of Minion Saira or anything she said in her post as that is
a separate issue altogether.
Respectfully
