Let it be known that as has been the case since the fall of the Iron
Citadel - none shall order, dictate, mother, or attempt to induce
unwanted terms upon the Bastion. We are a city of free men and women,
and will not be oppressed by the wills of other cities.

To attack that which we hold sacred, to ravage our territory or to
support those who would dare try will be met with massacre and
destruction. To attempt to strong-arm us and limit our freedoms will
result in decimation and war.

Those who stand with us shall be our friends. Those we call friends will
find standing by them a people strong and independent, a force vicious
and brutal. To our friends within the city of Evil, it has been a
distinct pleasure to shed the blood of the foolish alongside the
warriors and militants of Mhaldor. Dare I say, your enemies have learned
a valuable lesson indeed.

Shallam, your darling yet foolish plan to conquer the North with your
complex and exploitive treaties with your allies has ended. No longer
will we acknowledge your disingenuous tactics to hide behind "mutual
defense" treaties in order to bolster your offensive plots.

War was promised and war did come. I warn you never to again forget the
destruction that was this day brought upon you and yours by the allied
forces of Ashtan and Mhaldor. Should any forget, I assure you that the
Bastion will with vigor and delight deliver hell upon your doorsteps.
