The Events in Jaru

This month, the followers of Babel announced to the world they would be
preaching in Jaru. The citizens of Jaru have long served the Light, and
Shallam has long defended the village from the perils of Evil and Chaos.
I denied the Babelonians permission to speak at the Crossroads in Jaru,
without the permission of the Mayor, enforced by the might of the Church
and Shallam.
Instead of asking permission and waiting on the answer from the Mayor,
they saw fit to murder him and animate his corpse for the sake of
mocking us. We gave all members present- even those that see fit to raid
Shallam and murder Jaruvians on a regular basis- an opportunity to
depart Jaru peacefully. And yet, they continued to mock us with the
slain body of the Mayor of Jaru. Shallam has sworn to defend Jaru, and
we defended it.
Of all places on Sapience to deliver a lecture on any topic, why would a
Babelonian choose the site of Jaru's Crossroads? He cannot have thought
that we would allow his words to be spoken in a village dedicated to the
Light. And why, after even giving them a chance to negotiate with the
leader of the village- a village that maintains its own sovereignty, did
they murder the leader?
The Babelonians sought only to provoke us to violence. But we will not
let good men die and leave the murderers to spit lies over his corpse.
And so we dispersed the crowd as we needed to, to stop the insult to the
integrity of the village. See the truth, Sapience. Oblivion is a lie- it
is an excuse by wicked men to act with no concept of guilt, or
responsibility. You place as leaders men and women that seek only your
ultimate destruction, and that act without thought to consequences, as
if your life matters nought.
To the Babelonians and the Mhaldorians,
You continue to provoke us, and you continue to assault us, and you
continue to destroy Creation through your atrocities. I ask that you see
the Light soon, and change your ways. Justice will come- I only hope
that you have repented.
In service to the Light,
Kailo the Friar,
Vizier of Shallam
