The Mountain Mariners will be hosting a research essay contest
concerning the various groups of isles that have been discovered. Each
essay will be judged on merits of information and editing. The winning
essays will be made into reference scrolls for the Mountain Mariners and
the author of each winning essay will receive 15,000 gold. No enemies of
the Mountain Mariners or Cyrene may submit an entry. In addition to
this, no entries will be accepted by members or allies to Mhaldor or
Ashtan or the Pirates of Meropis.

Entries will be accepted immediately through the end of Ero, 542 AF.
Winners will be announced and rewarded during the month of Mayan, 542
AF. Most essay topics will concern more than one island, and all islands
must be covered for an essay to be considered. Please send all entries
via preserved letter to Jaran Lionblaze. The different essay topics are:

o Colchis, Minos, and Clockwork Island
o Eirenwaar Island and the Ilyrean Isles
o Tapoa and Tuar
o Meropis Mainland
o Prin and Shipwreck Isle
o Zanzibaar and Zaphar
