To the surprise of what can only be a very few, I must report that while
the council of Ashtan discussed the non-aggression treaty you proposed,
during an armistice you declared, we were interrupted in our debate to
witness our city being assaulted by the usual fools, with the
unfortunate addition of the rabid, Qashar-tainted dregs of your nation:
Pharaus, Darroth, and Agathon. If you cannot even abide by your
self-declared armistice, why should we, or any other nation, trust you
will honour any other political arrangement?

Until such time as you cast aside the perfidious filth of Exain, refuse
to allow the denounced and supposedly dissolved Qashar refuge within
your demesnes, and cease to press this foolish agenda that your veiled
threats and blatant aggression have illuminated, the Bastion of the
North cannot consider any amicable arrangement between our city-states.

Should it come to pass that you reject the influence of the neolithic
buffoons and demonstrate you can honourably abide by your publicly
declared political arrangements, we may prove more amenable.
