A disturbing opinion I've encountered

Several months ago I heard an extremely offensive and disturbing opinion
from an adventurer named Dohkn. In the course of a discussion, Dohkn
mentioned, as though it were certain fact, that there is no difference
between sentients and animals, save that the former are bipedal and have
the capability of speech. I am extremely offended at the claim that I
differ from the beasts only in my ability to speak and posture, and not
in more relevant areas such as the capability to grow, to feel emotions,
and even to think. I suspect many of you would feel the same.
This is aside from the fact that Dohkn's position conflicts with every
ideology I can think of, from Good (which advocates protecting innocent
sentients) to Evil (which advocates oppressing sentients to force them
to grow), from the Occultists (for animals cannot study Chaos) even to
the Druids (for animals cannot guard and shepherd nature as sentients
can.) It is also aside from the fact that Dohkn's position appears to
conflict with statements by the Pentad Themselves about free will and
the ability to choose.
Therefore, I would suggest that those who find Dohkn's position as
offensive as I did let him know by whatever means they find best (within
the strictures of the Divine of course). Perhaps when he sees that his
opinions are not welcome, he will reconsider them.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Valnuary, in the year 536 AF.
