A response from Industry

Greetings from the Order of Industry.
The Order does not exist to play political games or engage in pointless
arguments. Thus I address the post by Leota only to ensure that the
whole of Sapience is not misled by the rantings of another.
I am sure that the reasons to be opposed to the forces of Oblivion and
the destruction they seek are obvious to all who value even a small part
of Creation and the world in which we live. However, to address the
erroneous statement that the Chosen of the Smith have decided to declare
hostile intentions only because this Order is embattled by other like
minded individuals and organizations, let me address a few points.
Our Father, Lord Phaestus, was the one to decree the hostilities. And
this occurred as soon as Lord Babel made knowledge of His realm
available and began to recruit to His Order. Any organization that
values, seeks, or praises destruction, chaos or hinders Creation is in
effect declaring themselves hostile to Lord Phaestus all that His Chosen
strive to accomplishment. As an Order of crafters and builders, we can
not stand idly and allow our works to be polluted by the stain of Chaos.
This is why we do not show benevolence to the Order of Lord Babel or
those who follow His teachings.
I am afraid, Leota, that you have placed words in my post which I do not
recall. My post to which you replied stated nothing of how we will fight
you alone, in fact the only mention of the Order of Oblivion was to make
clear our stance. Thus I am unable to reply to the wildly emotional
forays in your own post addressing myself. I commend the dedication to
your God that you would post so hastily, though your words mean naught
to the Chosen of the Smith.
We are used to being assailed by the forces that do not understand us,
and those who have little to do but tear down shrines. I am afraid that
the general response is a shrug. The glory of our Father is not in
shrine count, or how well we can maintain shrines, indeed they are but a
sidenote in the works we are doing. Instead we listen to the clanging of
the hammer against the anvil, the sound of the needle passing through
cloth, the tinkling of a gem being cut for jewellery, the exertions of
men putting up a building wall. Through creativity and hard work we show
our praise and worship to Lord Phaestus. So I concede that you might
have a larger army and more people with too little to do besides destroy
things, the matter interests the Chosen very little.
I can only pray that perhaps one day the fog will lift from the minds of
those following the decrees of Oblivion and see this world and realize
the value of preserving the beauty and glory before us.
In cordial salutation,
Sir Goryllin Dawyn
