Greetings Sapience,

Some time ago, my brother Imyrr made a statement with regard to the
nature of Chaos, defining it as potentiality. I should like to elaborate
upon the nature of potentiality, and its existential relationship to
Order.

Potentiality is not an accurate reflection of the Primal Void known as
Oblivion. Yes, from this Void the Logos manifested. So, in a sense,
there is potentiality in the nothingness, but there is also a
dialectical relationship between potentiality and reality, or
that-which-is. It is feasible to imagine nothingness - an empty, silent
darkness. However, there is a conundrum in this act of imagination, as
such is only relative to our present state of existence. That is to say,
nothingness is dialecticaly intertwined with existence.

Conversely, existence is intertwined with nothingness. The polarity of
the relationship facilitates the necessity of both. Potentiality is
inextricably linked to this manifested existence, and plays a critical
role in the freedom and dynamics of individuals. This potentiality is
expressed in Sapience through decisions. Note the word, "decision" and
the similarity to "incision." Decisions cut away potentiality and have
an impact upon our world.

It was through a decision that pure potentiality was cut and finitude
was brought out of infinitude. This was the First decision, from which
all decisions have subsequently occurred. Essentially, at that moment,
finite quantifiability became reality, out of infinite unreality.

Yet even in this finite reality, we experience infinitude. The Mind is a
great example of this. Subjective in nature, the Mind objectifies
reality through the natural Order. So complex and powerful is the mind,
that it can conceptualize unreality out of reality. Alas, Oblivion is
not inevitable. Reality as a force is infinitely equal to unreality.
While the scales of Balance may sway in this reality, and the forces of
Chaos, Darkness, and Evil may grip the land, that is no reflection of
the High Balance of being and nonbeing.

Thus we are left to examine this reality, this manifestation and its
subsequent creations. What are we to do in this reality? What is our
purpose? What is the essence of our existence? Is this essence
manipulable? The questions may go on and on. However, our impact upon
Sapience is derived from the questions we ask, the answers we seek, and
the actions we choose along the path.

Verily, the Light guides True! The deception of Oblivion is penetrated
by the shimmer of Purity. The malevolence of Evil is thwarted by Mercy
and Kindness. Those who walk the path of the Light work to strengthen
Creation. They work to accrue Knowledge, and the understand the implicit
responsibilities therein. They work to strengthen their Bodies and
Minds. They work to share their experience with others. It is the
actions and choices of the individuals walking this path that preserve
Creation from the destruction that adherents of Oblivion and Evil would
bring upon it.

Nor is it too late to walk the path of the Light. Recant Evil and
Oblivion, cast off the veil of Darkness and open your Eyes! Feel the
warmth bathe you, and rejoice! The Light is joyous and Good; it is
merciful and forigiving. All may find new life in the Light. Simply ask,
and you shall receive.
