Blademasters.

I come to you today, Sapience, to venture on the path that Lady Kavaya
has granted us.

As Achaea's first Blademaster, I have done much deliberation and
thinking about our path, and what it should entail. Wherein Paladins
pledge their loyalty to Goodness, and Creation, Runewardens may decide
either Good, or Evil, and Infernals remain steadfast in the service of
their Gods.

However, Lord Babel has raised a very interesting comment to which I
would wish to address.

Lord Babel's declaration has apparently made many of you assume under
the most dire of circumstances that TwoArts, Shindo, and Striking are
deeply rooted in The Oblivion.

And while I maintain that they are not, still, His words are not without
truth. While we may access the Void, a place free of emotion, judgement,
or hinderance, it does by no means ackowledge Lord Babel as the Diety
for which this class is goverened.

My thanks do, however, praise Lord Babel for the allowance of mortals to
access the Void.

But in response to an overwhelming amount of inquiries about the class
to many veterans of Achaea, I simply must state that regardless of
affiliations to House, Order, or City, the class of Blademaster remains
neutral in the eyes of the world.

Blademasters are a source of nobility, not to overshadow those of the
Runewardens, Paladins, or Infernals, but moreover, to exemplify it.

It is henceforth why I approach the entirety of Sapience with this
statement.

If this information serves to be irrelavent to you, then by all means,
please ignore this post.

However, to those who have newly found their true calling as a
Blademaster, I speak to you directly. Our lifestyle will not be one
taken for granted. It is one of tribulation, turmoil, and choices. Some
of those choices may be easy, some may be extremely difficult. Whatever
the decisions you come to, I wish you Luck in your endeavors.

And thus, I state the Blademaster creedo, "The art of the mind, reflects
the body in stride."

Blademasters are a source of hope. They are a breath of air to the
stagnent oasis that currently lies before us. As such, I implore any
Blademasters that may seem to have found their calling to treat this
with the utmost respect. While it may be fresh for us, it has existed
for thousands of years, and may Maya have mercy on our souls should it
be likened to Bladefire in the ages of yore.

It is within each of us that hope seeds. It grows and flourishes
depending on our choices, our demeanor, our civility. With something so
precious as our craft, one would do well to remember that.

Blademaster Amalia.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Sarapin, in the year 528 AF.
