Your Boasting

Ah, the language of money. Coincidentally, that's a language I speak
too, Ovid. I also believe it is a language Shallam wishes it could
speak, having almost a million gold deficit in its coffers, after
decades of being raped and pillaged as Sapience's favorite bar wench.

You smudged some totems? You killed some guards? Please boast more,
servant of Creation. I have more gold in my petty bank accounts than
your apparent summary of Hashan's losses. The banners of the Bastion of
the North still fly freely in the winds. Mhaldor's walls have still not
been taken, nor her servants harmed. Hashan hasn't bowed to your petty
dictates, nor have the Forests obliged to help your nonsense. Your
petty, indiscriminate, small-minded aggression against the weak has
yielded nothing for you to boast about, I am afraid.

I had such high hopes for your little group, Ovid. Finally, an enemy
worthy of the name! A new resolve had been undertaken, I thought: the
lights of Creation against all the fury of Chaos and Evil. When the dust
clears, though, I've found nothing has changed from the past. The Church
still wallows in the mire of hypocrisy, while the servants of Creation
eat their own filth. Epiphany, who bathed in the blood of hundreds and
thousands of innocent souls for her dragonhood against the very creeds
of the Church, now yields strength for you dear Ovid? Daje, the infamous
killer of Shallamese, now stands as a testament of the ultimate acolyte
of the Light?

Who will join your group next, Ovid, to cleanse your ideology? Will it
be priest Micaelis, the former champion of discord that lambasted
Shallam upon these very boards and killed her servants? Perhaps the
Dragon Cooper, the executor of hundreds of Shallamese during this past
decade? Lord Apollyon would indeed be proud, I imagine to see the extent
of the Seven Truths displayed from Shallam and the Qashar.

It's easy to boast from the battlements of Nirvana, when the cry of
Shallamese and the losses of its treasures cannot be heard by a
non-citizen. You, who cannot even stop the purses of your servants from
being stolen, should boast when you actually accomplish something.

This post has been paid for by the giving servants of Shallam and
Cyrene.
