Seeking Treasure, Truth is Bitter

The mind and body shaking with vibration, dances in stillness like the
hydra's heads, spiraling flare and whirling with delight. The hydra
since time began guards the ultimate treasure, the treasure of supreme
and unsurpassed wealth. Before the birth of all gods, before the
creation of a creator, before time was counted and before dreams were
dreamt, the hydra guarded the unattainable treasure of unsurpassed
bounty. All intruders entering the cave of mystery are struck with awe
and fear. No adventurer, warrior, knight or god has ever succeeded in
reaching it, though it is in the nature of all to try. Some will claim
they do not try, others deny knowledge of such things and others claim
it nonsense altogether, but in the hearts of all beings the treasures
presence is known. Each treasure one accumulates, one feels the true
emptyness within, for each treasure that is gained reminds the mind of
the great treasure that has not been attained.
So many seek to aquire treasure, with such fervour that it seems that is
all they do. Yet always empty after each aquisition, they are restless,
anxious and discontent. One experiencing this feeling of emptyness and
loss decides that the treasures it has aquired are the cause of this
restless discontent and vows to rid itself of all treasure. With the
same fervour of accumulation of these treasures, one equally disperses
all treasures, until the last treasure has been let go of. Clotheless
and with nothing in ones hands, one returns humbly and stands naked
before the cave of mystery. Enterring the cave, the hydra sees the one
who enters looking weak and tired and poses such a question, "You who
enter the cave of mystery, what is it you desire? Why have you come?"
The response to the hydra is something such as, "I desire the
unsurpassed treasure, the unequalled treasure of riches beyond riches,
the treasure of all treasures and bounty of all bounties."
The hydra's eyes light up eye with glee, for it knows this is its moment
and it replies something such as, "Why should I let you pass on through?
What treasure have you brought me so that I may be at peace with your
request and let you go?" And with that, the one who has entered the
cave, realizes they have no treasure in hand to give the hydra. Their
eyes widen and they focus in on only the treasure the hydra guards, and
continue with their approach towards the treasure, without fear. If they
leave the cave, they die, if they go further they die.
Suddenly, time stops. The hydra is nowhere to be seen. Realizing somehow
they are there, in the the greatest depths of the cave of mystery, they
begin looking feverishly for the treasure and see nothing. The
desperation is paramount and a loud voice erupts from their lips without
thought, "I am seeking the treasure". The words "I am" reverberate off
the cave walls, growing louder and louder, the vibration shaking the
mind and body into nothingness.
