Yes I know, you're all thinking, there goes Dave again with his big mouth, getting himself into trouble by standing up for his beliefs. So enough chit chat: I have abandoned all ties to the world and civilization to explore my inner self and to better my body, mind, and soul. Yet, I am being punished for this? I do not mean to insult you, since you are a god and I am a mere mortal, but I think you need to look at my motives here and my intentions more than the fact that I "abandoned" you, and that it is a "mortal" sin. For this is just not right. If you are to make change into sin, than why even have created mortals to be imperfect in the first place? If you won't allow for mistakes, then why do you make people corruptable? And even if you allow those mistakes, if someone tries to rectify the mess they've made in a way that you don't particularly approve of, you strike them down like flies!
I say to you, Daedalus, "Guardian" of Balance, if you preserve balance so much, than why are you punishing me for my own attempts at restoring the balance within my soul? I know that I did not consult you, yet you never answer my mortal cries for help, or your ears are just deaf to those who don't please you...As for your disfavour, if it is for doing what I think is right, I welcome it with pride. I stand in the open plain as your bolts of lightning come to strike me. For death that comes from standing up for your beliefs is more honorable a death than dying in battle.
I bid you all, watch what you do, for your beliefs may not match the beliefs of those who would attempt to control your actions...
