This post is directed at all those who have groves, no matter your city
or affiliation. I know that many of you care deeply for your grove, and
I wish to remind you about a simple task you can do to protect it.

Recently, some people have been making a habit of exterminating groves
in the forest. An extermination is a horrific event. Not only does it
entirely strip the room of its plant life, but it also severs the grove
user's connection to the grove.

Those of us who try to tend the forest have been doing our best to
rejuvenate and replant these areas, but you have an easy way to
completely protect your grove against this attack.

Once per year, please use the grove ability Preservation. It is not
terribly high in groves or difficult to reach, just a little below the
ability to create a quarterstaff, and it only takes a bit of grove
energy to do.

When you complete this Rite, your grove will be absolutely immune to
being exterminated for the rest of the Achaean year. It is best to do
this as early in the year as possible so your grove is protected as long
as possible.

If you have the ability, you can also Grove Share with your friends,
giving them the ability to preserve your grove if you happen to be
absent or asleep.

Please remember to do this once per year! Your grove gives you of its
energy, its resources, and its protection, and the Rite of Preservation
lets you protect it in return.
