Open Call to Philosophers

Greetings Sapience-
I come before you all with my heart and mind open, hopeful to begin a
new age of scholarship.
After reaching adulthood and setting out on the path that my life has
followed since, I have spent time within the walls of both Hashan and
Ashtan, and too many Guilds (as they were called then) to name. After a
good deal of time with the Occultists, I have settled into my place
within the Warlocks of the Rising Phoenix. Throughout my life I have
always been interested in scholastic pursuits and have made it a point
to study various philosophical standpoints from different factions and
people of Sapience. I have even devoted years to meditation that led me
far from this plane.
I tell you this because while I have been seeking knowledge, I have
watched a turn from the scholasticism of yore. No longer do we hold
debates on the inner-workings of Chaos versus the Light, or Good versus
Evil. No longer do our young pause to sit and reflect on the nature of
their mortality. Instead, they hone their reflexes in hopes of rising to
be a Champion or Dragon.
It is not my hope to persuade any of you against this change. However, I
believe that there is still yet room for philosophy and intellectualism.
In fact, I believe that there are those among us who would much prefer a
book to a blade. To you, I am sharing my vision.
I see a place where scholars, regardless of affiliation, can come and
exchange ideas, where the pursuits of the mind are as much applauded as
the gaining of experience out in the world. I see a place where debates
are held where, despite a clear victor, both parties learn.
To that end, I am throwing down a challenge to all that would call
themselves scholars or philosophers. It is my hope to develop a
curriculum on the philosophies of Sapience, in all their forms, so that
we may preserve the scholastic traditions that we have all but
abandoned. If you believe that you have anything to offer, even simple
words of support, I hope to hear from you. This call is made without
respect to any affiliation. I am not interested in your status within
any organization but only in what insight you can offer to the world.
I ask that any interested parties contact me via the means most
comfortable to them. Thank you for your time.
As a final note, I have not posted this as a representative of my House
or City.
Respectfully,
