The Pirates of Meropis

Written by: Captain Zulah Blackheart, Notorious Bandit
Date: Sunday, February 15th, 2009
Addressed to: Dread Admiral Micaelis Bayt al-Azhan, The Savant of Strife

Alas deckhand Micaelis, even with the world knowing the history scrolls
of ship races do not show every race, you persist with your boasts. Nay
even the year 500 race can be seen in those scrolls. To mention the
great weaver in your lie is shameful. I do not claim to be undefeated in
the challenge of speed on every given occasion. Not to mention your
addled mind should be able to notice as any simpletons should half the
races you boast your victories in had but one single competitor. Does
that not mean you also achieved the dishonor last more then once?
Perhaps it is not the rum that slows your bildge-sucking navy, it is
their desire to only play with themselves...

Yer previous threats were simply stated 'I care not about the Hashan or
Shallam ships' and less then mere hours later 'Each honorable sailor
I've passed is your navy' perhaps I should inform your navy of their
dictatorship. As any pirate under Captain Zulah knows our brethren have
a code. Me hearties and I are no greater then each other, we all have
equal vote in all matters.

Best start fillin yer stores with grog now, you an your scurvy crew will
be needin it to help numb the pain of your inevitable defeat.

They say dead men tell no tales, lets each of us end this skullduggery.
We shall see who has the salt, even by measure of defeat a true Captain
will go down with his ship.

Keep watch for The Black Sail on your horizon...

- The Pirate Captain

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Mayan, in the year 501 AF.
