Misconceptions

Hashan is a neutral city; this neutrality is not a rejection of the
extremes of Good and Evil, or of Nature, or of Chaos and Order but from
embracing the range of these beliefs. Hashani citizens are not beholden
to any singular ideology and individual citizens have the right to
worship whatever deities according to their conscience. To this end,
Hashan is also home to a number of shrines to a variety of Divines.
Hashan will always seek to protect the rights of its citizens to hold
their beliefs without attempts at censorship from others. In the same
way, Hashan has always protected those law abiding guests, other
personal property, or shrines that are lawfully within the city limits.
Attacks against such represented an affront against Hashan; for that
reason Hashan will defend such attacks.
Hashan has a friendly relationship with Mhaldor. There is a belief that
there is an alliance between our two cities. This is not the case;
currently the official relationship is limited to that of a non
aggression treaty. Nevertheless, Mhaldorians have defended Hashan on
many occasions. This support is gladly received and Hashani citizens
often seek to reciprocate; individual citizens hold their individual
beliefs and individually support Mhaldor. Hashan is not interested in
involving itself in the disputes of other cities; however in the face of
unwarranted attacks against our city the sympathy of citizens towards
those aggressors is lost and is moving further away from finding a
solution.
