Re: A Clarification of Your Stance

Dear Leota,

I grow weary of people who attempt, through disingenuous sophistry, to
conflate the issues of opposing Ashtan and of opposing Discord and
Oblivion.

Lord Phaestus has made His opinion of Discord and Oblivion clear,
albeit through my mortal words at His request, and this has naturally
been associated with some minor changes in the Chosen's official
guidance to those who would follow Him.

As far as cities are concerned: the Chosen feel that cities cannot
exist without Industry. Cities invariably employ architects and masons
to design and build their walls, blacksmiths to shoe horses and arm
their guards, tailors, dressmakers, jewellers, bakers, chefs, brewers,
etcetera. The Chosen only oppose any city as a whole if the city's
ruling council chooses to make our deaths or the defilement of our
shrines official city policy.

In the case of Ashtan, Father has made His opinion quite clear, in my
opinion: He is neutral towards Ashtan. The Chosen admire the spirit of
freedom of choice and will in which Ashtan's citizenship policy is
blind to race, class, or creed, and we do not expect the Bastion to
compromise the purity of that ideal merely because we dislike the
behaviour of a minority of citizens. We find Ashtan's choice of Patron
distasteful, of course.

As far as Houses are concerned: I will not make a general statement at
this time, as the Chosen's policies are still under review.

As far as Orders are concerned: the Chosen obviously oppose the Order
of Lady Eris and the Order of Lord Babel. The Chosen will not oppose
any Order merely due to accepting Occultists, although we will of
course fight against those individual Occultist members. Beyond the
Orders of Gods who choose to oppose Industry, and of Their Divine
allies, the Chosen bear ill-will towards no other Order.

Anyone who has any further questions or doubts about the Order's
stance on a particular matter may contact me directly.

For the Hammer!
