It is my pleasure, on behalf of Cyrene, our Ministry of Cultural Affairs
and the Cyrene Library Committee, to announce the winners of the "Dragon
Tales" writing competition held as part of our recent Blufest.

This has been an important year of celebration in Cyrene as it
represents our 200th year after our refounding. We thank all the people
who have celebrated with us and send their best wishes to our city over
the course of this special occasion.

Dragons were a central part of that history and have remained an
integral part of Cyrene since the discovery of Blu's egg long, long ago.
As such, the dragon theme seemed perfect and appropriate and I have
thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every entry. Each author is
deserving of accolades and appreciation for bringing their creativity
and talent to the festival in a way that will be enjoyed for countless
years to come.

Five judges participated in the judging and I thank them all for
supporting the event in such an important way.

Alondra took the grand prize, with a tale evoking nostalgia entitled,
"Guardian Dragons". Her award is 25 credits.

Kylos, Faithful of Light and Belak, Zaikousei of the Hold tied for
second place with their respective works entitled "Beginnings" and "The
Dragon I Met". They will each win 15 credits.

Rinzai Da'Navi took home the third place finish with his poem,
"Sometimes I feel Blu". He is awarded 10 credits.

The tome is now available in the Bardic Hall of Arts and Literature
within the Prosperian Athenaeum in Cyrene. The athenaeum can be found in
the Lyceum complex and is open to the public. It now boosts 114 tomes in
five varied collections ranging from everything from world philosophy to
exploration and history, from combat to the arts. Tomes representing the
full spectrum of individual, city, house and order viewpoints from
across the realms are welcome additions to the athenaeum. Please do us
seek out should you wish to see your own works represented within these
esteemed collections.

We do hope you enjoy the resulting dragon tales. Perhaps time will bring
additional such stories and poems to our collection.

Congratulations to all of the winners!

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Scarlatan, in the year 489 AF.
