Hail Sapience!

Perhaps some of you remember of the Golden Pawn Chess Tournament, which
was organized lots of years ago, by me. For those who do not, I will
briefly describe it in this post. The Golden Pawn tournament is a chess
tournament, held between, preferably, all the Houses of Sapience.
Unfortunately, in the two editions that I've organized so far, I failed
to gather together ALL the houses of Sapience, as I hoped, but
nevertheless, we had a good deal of competitors and we've seen some very
balanced games.

The last edition of the tournament, the winners were the Occultist
House, who, in the final, defeated their life-long rivals, the Empyreals
of Shallam. Unlike the first edition, they received a very special
trophy, representing a golden pawn, which was crafted by Lady Ourania
Herself. The trophy awaits a new owner now or, perhaps, for its previous
one to defend it.

Despite the mentioned trophy, there will be lots of great prizes,
including credit prizes. This edition will be hosted by the Merchants of
the Crown, so you should expect to see some nice goodies out there! I am
pretty sure you've all been familiar with the previous amazing lottery,
weren't you? Well, expect for the prizes to be at least as surprising as
those in the lottery. We will continue to ask for a symbolic entrance
fee for each participating house (like in the previous two editions) so
that we can gather a consistent credit prize for the top three houses. I
encourage each House leader to contact me and help decide which would be
the best fee and which would be the best credit prizes for the top three
houses of the Tournament.

The invitations have been sent to all of the houses of Achaea. Further
details will be given to each and every house leader, but before I close
my post I would like to point something VERY important:

***IMPORTANT NOTE***

If you don't have a house and would like to participate in the
Tournament, you must contact a house that you know and ask them if they
need another team member in the Tournament. The same goes for Houses who
lack the chess players to compete in this tournament: If you lack
willing players to participate in the tournament, please try to contact
houseless adventurers, willing to help your house and, of course,
themselves in this upcoming event.

this edition we are hoping for some consistent Divine support! Thank you
