Occultists and Nature

A blight once befell the great Yggdrasil and her leaves fell from
Heaven, withered husks upon which the restorative words of the
Creator had been nontheless etched. In our age, innocents wither
and are cast aside like such dead leaves, without reprieve for
their souls or soothing remedies for their bodies. Today no
one looks for saving language.

Instead, your recent post (17816), claims that Occultists may respect
Nature but that the very essence of their magicks is harmful to its
existence. Time and again I have witnessed Chaos and Oblivion being
tied together in such a manner, as if Chaos did not predate Lord
Babel's coming. As if Lady Eris, Whose essence He swallowed whole,
did not have Her own insatiable existence. And as if everyone
who does not condemn Chaos must instead embrace the religious tenets
associated with either Divine.

Specifically, you wrote:

"Every moment an occultist chooses to keep his class, he chooses
to damage Creation (and, subsequently, Nature) and aid Oblivion."

As bold as this argument seems on the surface, I could easily counter
that every time a diving bell rings an angel in Shallam spreads its
wings (and subsequently, a Priest is born) and 'chooses' to aid in the
Righteous actions of the Church of Achaea.

Such either/or thinking, however, only serves to fuel the misconceptions
and subsequent prejudice that certain persons and organizations hope
to propagate so that terror and mistrust can be reborn again and
again in the minds and hearts of those they seek to poison against
'the other side' of the equation. Reincarnations of such rhetoric
has amassed exponentially. Filling the canopy of our minds like
the majestic boughs of a diseased Great Oak, they block out
understanding and thereby the potential for real change.

Let it be known that for nearly seven decades members of the
Occultist class have worked side-by-side with those practitioners
of the ancient arts of Shamanism and Metamorphosism in the great
House of the Spirit Walkers to safeguard the Balance between Worlds.
If you wish to speak of intent, then please clarify your position
on how these noble individuals can willingly sacrifice their
energies and time to sustain the equilibrium of the Multiverse?
Your argument that the mere existence of Occultists in the realm
shreds the fabric of reality, of the existence that these individuals
seek to uphold, is not only out-dated it is countered by the fact
that the Spirits, which inhabit all things in Nature, have welcomed
this class into our Great Work.

Fearing the free will and self-determination of Priests, the Church
has stripped the right of Priests to choose freely to serve
Righteousness, to choose freely how and through what vehicles they
will serve it, and to what extent they will isolate themselves from
all other walks of life; 'We cannot trust them to choose wisely, so
we will make the choice for them.' And therein lies the difference,
and the central flaw of your argument. For whether an Occultist is
Erisian or Babelonian, whether they serve any other God of the Pentad
or Pantheon, they still have the right to choose in what manner they
will enact their abilities and to what end. Whether or not the
Church and Oakstone are capable of making the distinction, it exists.
And it has makes all the difference, laying waste to your indication
of 'logical decisions' in recent days.

With deep respect for your position, but with obvious dissent to your
opinions, I remain Dreaming of the day when Spirit Walkers will not
be judged by their chosen class, but by the merits of their actions.

Postscript: My sincere apologies if Anyone, particularly a Divine
mentioned in this posting, takes offense to its content. Chaos is
and was and always shall be, but its coloural rays appear
differently to everyone.
