It seems an attention to detail does not guarantee accuracy in calendar
calculations! In my last post, I erroneously announced the date of
Cyrene's grand opening for our athenaeum as occuring one more later than
it actually will occur.

The correct date is the 15th of Daedalan, year 476, which translates to
3/28/2008 2200 Achaean GMT.

We do hope this doesn't deter any of you who have already R.S.V.P.'ed,
or any of you who plan to attend.

The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a feast, tours
of the athenaeum and an award ceremony for the winners of the painting
contest. The Cyrenian Library Committee will be on hand to answer
questions and to host a literary-focused quiz for all attendees of
scholarly and competitive persuasion, with generous prizes from one of
Cyrene's brigade of magic hats. The esteemed House Ty Beirdd will
provide musicians. Again, formal attire is requested.
