An apology

Written by: Miagorme
Date: Wednesday, January 9th, 2008
Addressed to: The Divine Order of Agatheis, the Elemental Lord

I'm writing this as an apology to the Divine Order of Agatheis, but not
to your Patron. I hurt my friends for something petty and unrelated to
them. After I sat to meditate on my actions, I realised none of the
people I hurt had anything to do with what their God did, and hurting
them would do nothing to their God. So, I'm writing this as an apology.
When I became Cyrenian, I swore to myself I wouldn't lift my blade
against a fellow citizen, but I slew one of the ones who wrote a
recommendation letter for me. Four times. This is also an apology to
you, Madelyne, because my anger at your God leaked into anger at you. I
had no right, reason or intention to hurt you.

Agatheis, other Rajamalans can claim they are mindless, stupid beasts,
but I'm far from that denizen-like state. As You said, the Rajamalans
are a fierce, prideful race. I'm one of the fierce, prideful Rajamalans,
and I do thank You for bringing my ancestors to this realm. However, if
You think and act that me or any other Rajamalans are simple, mindless
beasts like the tigers that resemble us, I'll have to make You regret
it. It is very true that we're fierce and vicious, but we think for
ourselves. We know what we're doing. We're aware of what's right and
wrong.

As it is true that I misunderstood what You said, and I'm still unclear
as to what You meant by 'beast,' I can only hope You meant that we could
be vicious and quite easily the most dangerous race of all. After I sat
and meditated on it, I realised Grandma Greyda would scold me for how I
acted towards You, so I feel it'd be right if I apologised to You as
well.

Respectfully,
Miagorme Corten

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Chronos, in the year 469 AF.
