Greetings, Sir Silas Aodh'Maynard, Hand of Elysia,

Although I know you as a friend, I have the need to write to you on a
professional level. I write as Logistics Ta'sa, Heart of the Forest,
House Leader for the Sentinels House. I have a question for you.

Recently, it has come to my attention that Rho of the Church has spoken
to many of my Housemates who are devotion users telling them that unless
their cities, often Eleusis, refuse to allow Occultists to be citizens
or even enter the city, they will be excommunicated. Their options are
leave their current city, return to Shallam or be excommunicated.

In speaking with him myself, I have been told that the Church has the
ability to control how Devotion is used much like Oakstone has the
ability to control how the skills of Concoctions users. It is true that
those who abuse the bounty which Nature gifts us are able to be enemied
to the Forests and I feel that this is consistent with the Church's
current practice of those who are found to be acting against the will of
Good are excommunicated. I, however, cease to see how this new action
would be anything within the rights of the Church.

Is he in turn proposing that Oakstone should enemy all those who are not
of Eleusis since they have not returned to their Natural home? I am not
of Oakstone, but I am willing to relay his support of such a policy to
the Hierophants if that is what he wants.

I'm sure you know that I know the difference between the Church and
Shallam, with my history. If you do not remember, I was a citizen of
Shallam for over 100 years, a former Vizier of Shallam, and continue to
serve Good even in my new home in Eleusis. So, you ask, why do I address
the head of a city about the action of the Church?

Since Rho is deciding to take actions upon cities, I see this as a
declaration of war on certain citizens of other cities. As Shallam
continues to support the Church and stand for the cuase of "Good", I
direct the question to the city which wrath will be bore from the cities
which Rho attacks. I'm being told from many of your citizens that they
had no such knowledge about this, while seemingly everyone else in other
cities have already been threatened or talked to, as City Leaders, that
this is going to happen. This brings me to the point to which I address
you:

Is Shallam supporting the Church in this action and thus ready for the
expected backlash for it against this new infringement into other cities
by Good?

I feel this will undecidedly lead to an increase in the amount of cities
who disallow those of the Church or Devotion classes and an increase in
the amount of cities who allow Occultists and others of Chaotic nature.
As a fellow servant of Good, I wished to see if you were planning on
supporting this action that has pretty clear consequences.

But what is a Houseleader doing writing a City Leader about City
Politics? That's a good question. I guess just since Rho has decided to
try and address cities about city policy not being a city leader, that I
may as well give it a shot. I must admit, it is fun to pretend.

I look forward to your public answer, or one from a city official, or if
you would prefer a private grounds, I request at least a letter with a
copy of the post to Shallam in which you inform my fellow servants of
Good of your and Shallam's support of this action that would bring much
strife unto my allies and friends in your city. That would be a great
starting point for dialogue between us!

Sincerely,
Logistics Ta'sa, Heart of the Forest

P.S. I'm currently an Ally of Shallam? Shall I remove that then?
