Lost one,
Your post, though riddled with logical errors and a feeble understanding
of many things, did a great service to the literate public of these
lands. I agree that for too long Evil and Good have been misunderstood
in terms of their relation to one another, as has Good's relation with
all of Creation's progeny. I refer here to your point on our assumedly
mutual duty to Creation:
"I propose that rather than being complete opposites, they instead share
a few points in common. The points they have in common are the
fundamental respect for Creation, the willingness to preserve Creation,
and the promotion of Creation."
and later,
"Good seeks to protect Creation from without; Evil seeks to advance it
from within."
It is refreshing to see an aged voice from the midst of the self-styled
enemies of weakness illuminate the dreadful weakness perpetrated by the
West itself. In allying with and encouraging the spread of the Occult
within Sartan's pit, Evil admits that it is incapable of staying true to
the propaganda it espouses. Their proclamations of "working for the
advancement of Creation" are belied by their reliance upon the slaves of
Chaos and, in that, their subservience to the force which stands ready
to subsume all Creation.
Alone in Sapience, Good stands against the swelling tide of Chaos which
threatens all who reside here. While the hostilities with Ashtan have
been quelled for the moment, our crusade against those traitors to the
realm who would aid Chaos is unflagging.
Perhaps some day weakness shall depart the hearts of the West and they
too shall begin to repel the invaders. Perhaps the denizens of the wild
places shall understand the damage Chaos has already done to the lands,
and that Nature and Creation are two words for one concept. Perhaps
those who love kindness and peace shall recognize that these two are a
luxury which is hard won.
Perhaps in time, Good shall gain allies against the dissolution of
everything we of Creation know and cherish. Perhaps we shall stand alone
until our mission is completed, willful blindness and devotion to
convenience ensuring that the beneficiaries of our work are too feeble
in mind and spirit to join us. Come what may, the scions of Good, led by
the Jewel of the East and the might of the Holy Church, shall protect
Creation to our last rasping breath.
With whom then does weakness lie?
