Szethrusi Vastel won the design segment of the competition with a
wonderfully designed pendant.
Short description: a death adder pendant of fused diachronic glass
Dropped description: Glinting coldly, a pendant adorned with a death
adder lies here.
Long description:
A rectangular steel plate serves as the setting for an artfully-crafted
glass death adder, which writhes sinuously around the pendant.
Alternating portions of smoky, abbadon-hued glass fused with pearlescent
white glass form the serpent's body, mimicking the adder's banding
pattern. Powdered metal oxides in various shades of green have been
sparingly mixed into the glass, creating the illusion of glistening
scales throughout the body. Two tiny, intensely shimmering emeralds form
the serpent's eyes. A thin, adjustable steel chain supports the pendant,
allowing the wearer to modify the necklace's length.
Warlock Kunama wins the Haiku segment of the competition with the
following entry.
Silver-tongued raider,
Tenebrus Ninefingers. Phased?
Cinnabeth is doomed.
I would like to thank the other competitors, your entries were of a
remarkably high standard and it renews a sense of hope within me that
there are still some good designers and artists in the world.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Phaestian, in the year 465 AF.
