Hail, Merchants of Sapience,

Following some revisions by the Chancellory of Shallam, taxes on all
shops have been lowered.

Shops located within the Medina will now be charged 6,000 sovereigns per
year, while the more prime locations around Zanzibaar Street will pay
7,500 sovereigns. This all means that shopkeepers will now be paying as
much as 2,600 sovereigns less per year for their shops in Shallam.

The merchant's code is also currently under revision, and updates will
be available for all shopowners as soon as they are completed.

May your businesses thrive in the Jewel of the East!

Sir Silas Aodh'Maynard
Sultan of Shallam

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Mayan, in the year 463 AF.
