War

Consider this post from a person, rather than a soldier from Ashtan. It
won't be filled with "you're horrible, we rock" comments that are common
in these places.
Over the past couple months in this war, you would be either ignorant or
blind to see the direction it is going, and the direction it will most
likely continue to go. I in no way criticize you for your ideals, as we
all have ideals that contradict with others and it is simply the life
you choose to lead, while we choose to lead another. Regardless of the
outcome of this war, we will both continue to live our lives exactly the
same, in every way. You will not be able to destroy Chaos, as that act
in itself is simply impossible. Ashtan as well will not be able to detur
your people from their ideals. It is an endless cycle of blood and gore
with no real end in sight.
Once again, as a person, not a soldier, I can say this war has gone in
every way in Ashtan's favour, your soldiers are quitting in fear of
their lives, and every battle in the war save two, which ended as well
in Ashtan's favour, took place either in your city, or at your gates.
Your guards have been killed numerous times, your totems have been, for
the most part, demolished, and it will continue to follow this path
until Shallam surrenders, and admits that in respect to military
strength, Ashtan is dominant. That is not an insult, that is a fact. You
have great warriors, but Ashtan has more. You have great tacticians, I
haven't seen them yet, but I'm sure they are there. Again, Ashtan has
better. It's simply the way of things, and that is not including
Mhaldor's aide.
I do not enjoy this war, and am personally not affiliated with Chaos. I
am though, a proud member of Ashtan, and if you attack a part, you
attack the whole. We did not instigate this war, we did not provoke your
city. It is simply the child of an overzealous Archprelate looking for a
reason to be considered famous. It is selfish in every way. Out of
nowhere, the Church desides that Evil is not your main concern (the
entity that has been raiding your city, destroying your icons, hunting
your members for Sarapis knows how long), but Chaos, which has never
raised a finger against you, and has only been marked by you during the
Burning Times, and still they never sought revenge. In the end this War
was brought on by a non-Ashtani Babel follower. But anyway, now I'm
simply rambling about nothingness, all too common here so I'll cut it
short.
Stop the war, concede, and let us all get on with our normal lives. You
have everything to lose, and nothing to gain. Also, I in no way speak
for the entire city of Ashtan, as many of our members hate you with a
passion and would love nothing more than for you to continue the war
forever as to raid your city over and over and over. I simply speak as a
peace-loving man, who tires of propoganda in times of supposed
enlightenment.
