Dear Kyleaye,

I cannot begin to express the depths of concern that your recent
assertions have provoked within me. My fellow denizens and I do not have
souls? What a horrible fallacy! A malicious slander! An unprovoked piece
of baseless misinformation! You insult us, lowering us to the status of
mere objects, and only provide further justification to those who seek
to slaughter us without provocation or mercy.

Let me assure you, Kyleaye, that the denizens of this world do indeed
have souls. The supporting evidence is vast and conclusive. Have you
never met the lingering ghost or shade of a slain denizen? What is that
if not a soul? Do we not often return to life after we are slain? How
could we do that if our souls did not travel through the halls of the
Great Mother, even as yours do? The difference that you perceive is a
result of the expanding properties of Yggdrasil's Flame and certainly
does not indicate soullessness in those who have chosen not to endure
the Trial of Rebirth.

I implore you to cease spreading this terrible deceit against denizens.
If it is wrong to kill a being with a soul, then it is as wrong to kill
me as it is to kill you. Do not devalue our lives by denying us the
dignity that the Great Mother has seen fit to grant us. We have souls!
