Really, to Rurin.

Thank you for your visit to my Inn again, Rurin. Tis a shame however the
circumstances in which you decided to remove your wares.

See, 280 years ago, Portis and I built that Inn. We invited all of
Sapience into her doors. We had a shoppe of wares for the travellers,
and you opened a place to sell your food and drink. And yet, I never
received a single coin.

Time continued to pass. And your bank accounts grew. You dutifully sold
your wares to the ample number of adventurers. You ignored me and my
requests. I let it pass, fell asleep for some time. 100 years ago, at my
200th celebration, I attempted to contact you again. Silence.

Time continued to pass again. Until this month. A gathering of family,
friends, loved ones, joined me for the 300th celebration. We jokingly
tried to contact you again. And lo! You responded! A taunting shout. A
question about what it was I was requesting. I told you that after a
couple hundred years, a little rent was in order. I mean after all that
time, a little something for my what I put into the Inn doesn't seem so
inappropriate does it?

You asked for a detailed bill. So I got detailed. Nearly 280 years. 300
days a year. 84000 days you were able to sell food at a profit at no
cost to you in my Inn. 10 gold a day. I imagine that there aren't many
shops that you can rent for 300 gold a month. Your response to that? You
packed up your stuff and left. I mean, it makes sense. After all, why
pay now? I suppose you can curry favor for another place. Does any city
see any of your gold for rent? If you'd built the Inn, and I had a shop
there, I'd certainly have had to pay you something.

In any event, I extend the Olive Branch. I'm interested to speak with
you about the Inn. For all of Sapience.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Aeguary, in the year 458 AF.
