Ruins excavation

Greetings Sapience,
As many of you may already be aware, this year has provided us with a
fantastic archaeological discovery of huge historical significance.
Thanks to the unearthing of a pair of letters found during the
reconstruction of Thera, we were able to locate what we believe to be
the previously lost ruins of the Chapel of All Gods, northwest of New
Thera and the Black Forest! While work on the excavation of these ruins
has only just begun, it appears from the evidence in the documents and
the site itself that the Chapel was used as a Theran refuge during the
Black Wave.
I am sure that many of you know of the fate suffered by the Chapel
during the War of the Deeps, destroyed during the onslaught. It now
appears that this destruction was not merely the mindless consequence of
war, but a calculated strike against the women and children sheltered
within its walls, leaving them to die trapped within this unintended
tomb. Such a tragedy must not be forgotten, and it has been proposed
that, after a thorough excavation of the site has been completed, the
Chapel be rebuilt, both as a memorial to those who lost their lives
within it, and as a tribute to the glory of the Gods.
Many groups across Sapience have already promised delegations of workers
and aid to help us with this task, such as the town of Thera, the Mhun
of Moghedu, and the Dwarves of the Siroccians, a sure sign of homage to
the Divine. Such an undertaking will require significant financial
backing, however, and that is why I come to you today. To complete this
project, we will require an estimated five million gold. I beseech all
of you to consider donating anything you can to help us reach this goal,
out of respect for the Gods and in memory of those who lost their lives.
As a sign of our immense gratitude, the names of the ten individuals who
donate the most gold to the reconstruction will be recorded on a plaque
outside the Chapel for time immemorial. Please find me at the Chapel
ruins, off the road that passes to the northwest of the Black Forest,
for donations.
Returned to its former glory, the Chapel of All Gods will be a sight to
behold, but we can only achieve this with your assistance. Thank you
all.
