I see good points from both Yarantan and Muzzy in regards to Mhaldor.
The truth is, however, Mhaldor is The City Of Evil, fortified in all its
existance against the forces of Good. Mhaldor has no democracy, no
rights, no honesty, no chilvalry, nothing of any Good to the world. The
City of Mhaldor, the Mhaldorians, and the Patron of Mhaldor all share in
the desire of individual flesh and spirit to conquer the weak, seeking
nothing more than personal gain from their actions.
However, Muzzy, you may be right in the end of your post... the very
last sentance. The forces of good must do a little more than make every
effort to stomp out the physical bodies of Mhaldor: we must assault them
at their roots. Steal their novices, persuade their people, and weaken
their tyranny.
The truth is Mhaldorians show compassion. They show compassion to young
ones and the impressionable. They show compassion to those grieving what
plagues them. But this is not true Compassion, no, not at all. It is a
facade, a front, to make them seem kind, and pleasant. They want to
impress upon you that if you join them, you will be better for it. But
once you fall under their spell, their evil nature eats at you, tears at
you, sucking the spirit and willpower from your heart, converting you to
no more than yet another drone for the forces of evil. When they do
that, they have more slaves to command, more power for themselves:
personal gain is all they are after.
So, those who much rather show Compassion to those of Mhaldor, please
do! Impress upon their young that the ways of Good and Light can provide
them with friends, comfort, enjoyment, unity, kindness, and compassion.
Continue to find their physical bodies, but chipping away at them with
other means will weaken Evil beyond any other measure.
