I come to you as an Archon of Ashtan, though unofficially at the moment.
I beg of you to listen to my request in a plea for peace if nothing
else.

As you are most likely aware, the relations between New Thera and Tir
Murann have escalated into a violent nature. For decades New Thera has
stood with at least mild disregard for the village of Tir Murann and the
hostilities, if any, were mild. Unfortunately, a hot-headed series of
incidents led us to seemingly open war. I have my own reservations as to
the cause of these hostilities but must strive to defend the allies of
Ashtan.

With this I request that you reconsider your ally status with Ashtan.
For decades Ashtan has considered you Her ally and we have done all that
we can to protect you and your people. The enemies of Petra have been
the enemies of Ashtan and we would die defending you. But as of late you
have retracted your formal ally status with Ashtan and in doing so not
allowed us to recruit and train soldiers from your noble village. In
this time of, regrettably, war, Ashtan and New Thera need their former
allies by their side. I must implore you to reconsider and allow us
access to your recruits so that we may train them to fight and station
them defensively within New Thera. I ask only in hope of defence and
currently have no desire to take offensive measures against Tir Murann.

Long have we stood together and hopefully these hostilities will end
quickly and without bloodshed.
