an open letter to the Druids

Written by: Father Wulfen

Hail, Druids.

I apologize for the rudeness of this missive. I find I lack the means to
discuss a certain matter with each one of you, and I was recently
reminded of it. The subject is my enemy status to the Ancient Circle of
Druids, ordered by the Lord of Nature on or about 18th Ero, 441 AF.

Per Conor, I was "enemied to the Druid House for (my) unprovoked attack
on Eldesa and Vinceres at Annwyn". I dispute the imputation that my
attack upon his person was unprovoked, given Vinceres' status as an
enemy of the Order of Suffering. As a number of Sapients have
discovered, I object vehemently to the presence of Evil's enemies when I
am seeking some peace and quiet to hunt. As others have discovered, I
can be quite tolerating of those who do not stand with the Church and
against Evil.

I am, in truth, no enemy of the Druids. I am no enemy of Nature, despite
my chosen vocation and the unfortunate stereotypes which all
Necromancers experience. I will remain a scourge to those who, with full
foreknowledge of the consequences, forward the despicable ends of the
Holy Church of Achaea.

As a postscript, I would quite happily patronize your refillers and
harvesters (I have spent 13,000 sovereigns on refills and 63,000
sovereigns on herbs this month alone). Needs must, though, and I spend
my paltry few coins elsewhere.

In Suffering,
Father Wulfen
Oligarch, Blood Congregation

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Scarlatan, in the year 443 AF.
