Hashani Security Policy

Hail Sapience!
I write to you today in my capacity as that most unloved of
institutions, the Minister of Security for Hashan.
It is my belief that in the past, the laws of Hashan have been abused by
those who seek to take sanctuary within our walls while offering no
allegiance or loyalty or respect to the city. Our laws have at times
been interpreted legalistically rather than in the best interests of the
Crown, as they should be.
That ceases henceforth. We have the authority to order from our city
those non-citizens who bring trouble within our walls and we shall do
so. We ask only that if you believe someone is abusing the hospitality
of Hashan that you approach me or another minister or Regent so that we
may deal with the situation before you seek to bring violence within our
walls.
For the avoidance of doubt, this applies to non-citizens only; any
citizen or ally of Hashan will continue to receive the full protection
of our laws and city defences. For the further avoidance of doubt, any
lawful guest who respects our city and does not abuse its sanctuary,
will also continue to receive the full protection of our laws and city
defences.
May the light of the Moon shine upon you all; may it burn our enemies
and bring solace to our friends.
In service to the Crown,
Saltaern Sioraiocht,
Overseer of Prosperity
Minister of Security.
Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Lupar, in the year 442 AF.
