Do not mistake my meaning, Sir. Suffering is sometimes necessary yes.
However, I believe the differences between you and I perhaps lie in
this: I long for my loved one's to learn their lessons as painlessly as
possible. Sometimes that is not feasible. Sometimes they simply must
learn the hard way as it is the only way that they will learn. I do not
want to shield them from suffering because it pains -me-. I simply want
to see them avoid pain if at all necessary. I think you are wise to feel
that pain is only useful when it has a purpose. But as I said before, I
do not wish to cause others pain if I can avoid it and I take no
pleasure in it when it can not be avoided. Forgive me for generalizing,
but it seems to me that many of your colleagues seem to enjoy inflicting
pain and suffering at random and I see no use or productivity in that.
And Riashain...it amuses me that you would respond to my post after
admittedly only "skimming" it. How predictable. I am not sure what
earned me the title of "compulsive liar" but allow me to remove that
black mark from my name by being brutally HONEST with you. It is no
secret that I harbour little love for Shallam but all those who joined
in their witch hunt against me and others have earned at least a little
respect from me at least. When Alban was overthrown they did not throw
in the towel and run away to lick their wounds. No, they proved that
their hearts were truly with Shallam when they stayed to weather
whatever storms came their way. Unlike you, Riashain. You are a
fair-weather friend and are possessed of a weak character AT BEST. Oh,
and before you try to accuse me of running away, let me just remind you
that I didn't. I was exiled from Shallam against my will.
But I enjoy when you make these pathetic inane posts, Riashain. It gives
me a reason to sharpen my tongue. Something I haven't really had a
chance to do since my departure from the city of Light.
