Thanks for the giggle

I must say, I had quite the laugh at your comments. It is interesting to
see your attempts to degrade the bard I was using. But, I was amused
when said bard pulled out an Ashtani dictionary, looked at the
scribblings of your bard, and promptly began laughing.

Alas, the poor dear had a heart attack, so I forced to write this
myself. Please excuse the Sireni appearance of my scribblings, as I
learned Achaean second, and thus tend to write it like my native tongue
at times, which on occasion means a spelling in Achaean that should not
be.

Luckily for those who wonder about what definition of paragraph is in
that dictionary, I shall soon be purchasing an Eleusian dictionary, as
the Ashtani define Sylvans as "what happens when a bunch of mages get
lost in the woods and never make it out." While apt with some of us, I
must be offended in that they forgot we also recruit treehuggers of both
the peaceful and militant persuasions. Shame, Ashtan! Shame! See if we
invite you to the next session of nude dancing around the bonfire!

Anyway, while I appreciate the attempts of the other houses to present a
face that is acceptable, I have noticed some who take our rivalry and
try to degrade it in hopes of devoting it to their viewpoint. While this
certainly works well in a city where you can simply chop off the head of
the people who displease you, I find it to be lacking in helpfulness for
a public spectrum. But, if they wish to be that way, that is their
choice. I'm here to hug trees and set arsonists on fire, not to get into
debates of what I view to be closer to acceptability among those who
wish to discourse over a contest that does not involve the official
capacities of our respective cities while maintaining an air of
joviality instead of the usual air of direness that sometimes comes to
color and entropify the contributions to this fine set of publications.
I will willingly set aside contributions to this continuing discussion
if the forces that wish an end to it are willing to show more presense.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Daedalan, in the year 433 AF.
