Rebuttal and all that jazz

'Tis interesting what you learn when you sit back and merely observe. So
far there have been 48 heated posts on this topic, some serious, most
light-hearted.
My last post was number 32, whereas this one numbers 49. Between now and
then several new people have popped in with comments of their own, and
those of old still seem to be whipping up a storm. And though I have
been biting my tongue, I must step in now to put a few things back on
track.
First, I will address Skye. Your first and only post so far. I do
believe Xaviere's reply might just have frightened you into submission.
Surely, one with an honours list as long as yours knows better than to
"rumble" with the Bards. Xaviere's post more than sums up my feelings on
your discrepancies and so we will leave it at that.
Lady Oenone Mendacis. The Sylvans aren't withdrawing? That is a shame. I
do so hate to see good people have their hopes and dreams crushed.
Surely, I hope you can pick up the pieces of your broken pride when you
are defeated by those you call "starving artists." Continue to root for
Ty Beirdd. Perhaps we will share some of the glory with you...or more
likely not.
Hearing you call us "thugs" does make me laugh. It was not I who was
just recently discovered rolling in a mud pit, half-undressed, tearing
at a leg of mutton with your teeth. Yes. I know I swore to keep it
secret, but some things need to come out into the open, Oenone. I can
only hope that you bring the same amount of finesse to your costume
creation. Perhaps then, the CIJ might have a chance of overtaking you.
But let's not get their hopes up. Thugs.
Hollis. Though I admire your zeal, I do recommend you find another
scribe other than a Spiritwalker. One that knows how to paragraph.
Reading that post was almost as difficult as the time I tried to run
around Kuntar's mother.
And Ainia, there was no need to apologise for the use of the word
"beatdowns." I do believe that's what you were doing to Oenone when I
walked in on you two in the mud pit. "Ugh. Me Ainia. Me gives Oenone the
beatdowns. Ugh. ARGH!" That's what you were yelling, right?
I truly am sorry Ainia, but this awful truth must come out. These
tree-hugging Sylvans are no more than savages.
P.S. Skye. Just a reminder. Ty Beirdd does not advocate prositution. My
5 gold is on its way, but in the future please deal directly with Tiax.
Penned by my hand on the 7th of Daedalan, in the year 433 AF.
