Oakstone

Were the insults necessary in your post to Kaiya? Was all the venom in
your words directed to Oakstone and Kaiya really necessary? I am not
personally familiar with your personal situation, and I am not sure that
it is relevant to what Kaiya posted at all. Perhaps it was only your
opportunity to lash out your anger at an organization that you believe
is worthless. But I would like to correct something...Oakstone was
created by the Divine long before you or even I was born. It was created
by Lady Gaia as a means of mortals helping her protect her realm. The
Hierophants are appointed by the Divine who patron Oakstone. Having been
an Oakstone Hierophant for many years, I can tell you that Oakstone is
very limited by the Divine as to what punishments they can mete out and
in what circumstances. Historically, the patrons of Oakstone have been
very active in guiding the Council and advising them. The Hierophants
are indeed mortals. As are you..as are we all. We make mistakes, we do
things correctly, we make other mortals angry, we make the Divine angry.
But what of it? If there was a misunderstanding of a new skill then why
get so angry? Be grateful that the -misunderstanding- was recognized and
corrected. But as you are Sylvan class, you might try to appreciate a
bit what Oakstone does to protect the grove you have bonded with and all
the rest of Nature. Think of what it would be like without Oakstone. You
might go back in the histories and read of some of the things that
happened before we had the laws protecting Nature that we do now.
Without Oakstone and its perseverance in protecting Nature, we may well
have little of nature left.

I am not sure that I agree with you that Oakstone is run by sentinels,
sylvans and druids. From my experience, the patrons of Oakstone run
Oakstone by and through their appointed Hierophants. When those mortals
-screw up- as you so eloquently put it, the patrons of Oakstone step in
and set them on the path that is true to Oakstone's purpose.

Your anger was at Oakstone, right or wrong....not Kaiya. Your anger
towards her is not only misdirected, but it is uncalled for. She is
probably one of the most dedicated and true forestals I have known. She
spoke her beliefs as you did. Respect her for it, and then you can
expect others to respect your own views.
