Oakstone, justice and Fools

Everyone understands being upset at being enemied to the forests. It
might surprise you, Erisycthon, that many of your so-called -too big for
your britches- forestals have also been enemied to the forests. I can
speak for myself and tell you that when I was a very new druid I
overharvested ONE pear..I reported myself...felt awful for what I had
done...and was enemied to Oakstone. I was also fined. What I did was
miniscule in comparison to what you did. Just suck it up, acknowledge
that you made a mistake, and pay the price. Will it be easy? Nope! But
it will show if you are truly the nature lover you claim to be. Or are
you a fair weather fan of Nature? Methinks the latter based on what we
have seen in your post.

It is always amusing to see the propaganda come out in situations like
this. Your calling everyone in Oakstone fanatics...interesting from you.
I seem to remember not long ago a city that ejected a number of high
ranking citizens all because they may have had social contacts with an
occultist at one time or another....THe city took it on the chin over
that in the public boards. Just as Oakstone will because they dared to
enforce their laws and do what must be done to protect Nature, which is
Oakstone's one and only purpose. Oakstone has nothing to do with selling
herbs to Mhaldorians, Hashanites, Eleusians, or even Shallamites.
Members of Oakstone are not barred from selling herbs to Mhaldorians, if
they so choose...on condition that the Mhaldorian is not an enemy of
Oakstone. Oakstone enemies individuals for acts against Nature, not
cities. It is really not your concern, Erisycthon, who Oakstone members
sell herbs to or do not sell herbs to.

If anyone enters the city of Shallam, or any other city, they are
subject to the city laws. Oakstone's laws protect Nature and anyone who
harms her will be punished..it matters not your motive, good, bad or
indifferent. The Hierophants apply the laws uniformly so that there will
be no abuse which will encourage further harm to Nature. It is
unfortunate it happened to you, but life demands consequences for our
acts..all of us.
