Atavians tend to have large families, and I was the youngest of 15
brothers and sisters. My parents were already past their prime when I
was born and did not live to see my tenth birthday before they joined
our ancestors in the clouds. All the children would love listening to
the stories of our ancestors when they lived in the cities in the
clouds.
Because I was the youngest of all my brothers and sisters, my parents
dedicated me to the Church when I was born. They believed this way I
would always be taken care of and would be safe in these troubled times.
They knew they would not live long enough to see me to maturity. I have
six brothers and sisters who were also dedicated to the Church when they
were born.
The Church nurtured me and cared for me until my 18th birthday. It was
at that point that I would be required to go out into the world and
carry on the works and blessings of the Church, smiting the unholy and
blessing the holy. The ritual called Trial of Rebirth would take place
on my 18th Birthday. As soon as my Rebirth was finished, I would seek
out a city and a Monastery dedicated to the ideals of my Church with
leaders and teachers to guide and teach me as I continued my work.
After my rebirth, I briefly spent some time in the city of Shallam.
However, it was not long before I was introduced to members of the House
of the Black Lotus, who taught of the Trine ideals, Discipline, Respect,
and Unity and honouring the Devine Goddess of the Moon, Ourania. The
House was located in the wonderful city of Hashan, and I moved and
pledged citizenship to the city and joined the House of the Black Lotus,
where I have been learning many lessons from Master Kai-Shen and
mentored by Master Snareman in the Way of the Lotus.
Penned by my hand on the 25th of Valnuary, in the year 429 AF.
