Shallam

Greetings, Sapience.
I'll get to the point. What is the point of having a Referendum, if
everyone is forced to vote the same thing, or be kicked out?
I was also kicked out of Shallam for simply voicing my opinion. I asked
on CT what the Referendum was about, was told, and went on to talk about
why I thought it isn't wrong to bash with an Occultist or Necromancer. I
was bashing with two Apostates at the time, killing Gnolls, and as soon
as I heard I wasn't allowed to do so, I didn't take a step further. Even
though I thought I wasn't doing anything wrong, I stopped bashing with
them, as I was being told. I was told that every person that chooses to
be of the Occultist class, or Apostate or Infernal, was thus, evil.
Which I don't think is entirely true. If you use Necromancy to fight
Evil, however silly it may seem, aren't you aiding Good? If you use
Devotion to heal Necromancers, aren't you aiding Evil?
Someone's allignment should not be chosen by his Class, but by his
heart, by what he thinks and feels. The day I got kicked out, I stated
that there are Mhaldorian Priests, to which I was answered "Not for
long, we're ex-communicating them". What if the chose to carry on
without Devotion? They're still Priests. They're still Evil. While I was
calmly debating on the city channel, someone even had the nerve to tell
me "You're young, you don't have your ideals straight". There's an age
for opinions now, you see. Even so, Relos, for instance, isn't exactly
young. But he could not have an opinion either. Yet Alban, whom I
believe is 59, can.
Also, that day, Antonius kept saying to me "You're not listening"
because after what he said, my opinion remained unmoved. Just because I
didn't succumb and chose to think it is wrong to kill evildoers with the
help of someone using Occultism, I "wasn't listening".
My abscence in Shallam isn't as important as that of Kotori, or Najara,
or Relos, as I am weak, young, and haven't done much for the city as of
yet. But that doesn't mean I should be kicked out. If I was kicked out
for being a newbie with an opinion, how is Shallam going to get young
citizens? And, as a youngling, shouldn't they have tried to explain to
me why it was all so wrong?
It has reached the point where the Sultan of Shallam, city of Light, has
been favoured by Lord Apollyon. Why hasn't anyone commented on that? It
shows what the Sultan has come down to. As someone said in an earlier
post, Shallam is against Chaos. We got kicked out for wanting to bash,
under certain circumstances, with Occultists. Yet Alban seems to be
working a little Chaos himself. Good, Evil and Chaos aren't just
Skillsets. They are each a different lifestyle, a different way of
being.
My point with all this being, when did Shallam become the City of Chaos
and Disorder?
Yours truly,
Leonor
