Now now, let's be fair grandchildren.
Daes is slightly more renowned for his combat ability than you Tenebrus.
He has recently pulled off some very profitable thefts, in a short
period of time. He does deserve credit.
Tenebrus' name alone makes people look to see if they are missing
anything. He continues to amass sums and aquire priceless items that
make you look like a pauper, Daes, even as one of the most watched and
hunted men in Sapience. If anyone can presume to lecture you, it's him.
Perhaps you could validly call him presumptious, but not an idiot.
I know that I was the cause for your house storeroom being robbed, and,
I hope not to sound presumptious in my understanding that ridding you of
all of your gold Daes drove you to your current success. As Tenebrus
aptly stated, being robbed is the only true teacher. And as your
possessions continue to be taken from you, it's obvious you have a
considerable amount to learn.

P.S. When does the old man get his cut?
Penned by my hand on the 17th of Ero, in the year 428 AF.
