Ever wondered why knights are able to use two venoms at once, similar to
our doublestab, _with damage too_? Ever wondered why you're getting
sniped by venomed arrows shot from non-serpents? Ever wondered why you
keep being venom-locked by people who don't even have the Venom skill?
The obvious answer to this is that we take OUR power and give it to
others. Some do this for profit, and some do this with the belief that
they're supporting their "side" or city. Believe it or not, there are
many serpents who would or do refuse to milk venoms for non-serpent use,
but all it takes is a few profit-minded serpents to disempower us.
For any of you serpents who haven't heard of it, there used to be a
venom ban on certain venoms, and all the venoms that _were_ allowed to
be sold to non-serpents cost much more, making us much more money, and
stopping non-serpents from basically having a fourth skill, Venoms. Ask
your older serpent brethren about the venom ban, and reflect on how you
yourself can change this problem.
Think about Oakstone. They have a _law_ that prevents competition from
ruining their Concoctions skill by making elixirs absurdly cheap. We
have no such law, but as serpents, we're _smart_ enough to STOP selling
ourselves for the benefit of others. I propose that the serpent class
slowly begin to retake our power of venoms for ourselves by working
together to demand higher prices, and absolute restriction from certain
venoms.
Don't think like a realistic, pessimistic old foagie. Before the group
changes, INDIVIDUALS must change. BE the change, don't wait for it to
happen. I for one REFUSE to take what the Creators gave the serpent
class up for a few gold coins.
