A Brief Response

The Chaos which is spread throughout Creation has been so spread for a
very long time, and we have observed no signs of Creation being the
worse for it. It was placed there by Ayar, who made Creation in the
first place, and you'd think He'd know what would be "anathema to
Creation" and what wouldn't.
It was this mistaken fear of the destructive potential inherent in the
use of Chaos that led the ancient Church to kill and burn the men,
women, and childern of the early Occultist cabels. The old legends of
Entropy and Discord terrified the Priests and Templars to the extent
that they were willing to slaughter those of us who would study them in
their current pacified and dispersed state.
Nevertheless, that all happened very long ago. I must assume that the
Church has gained some enlightenment in this regard, as they have not
actively persecuted us on any significant level in many years. Our work
goes undisturbed.
I cannot say that I agree with all the views expressed by Montago, but
that is the beauty of our way. We allow for an internal diversity of
opinions and beliefs, without each presuming our own to be superior.
Freedom of thought promotes growth and vitality -- more people ought to
try it.
