Darkness

Pardon my intrusion on your tearjerker of a post, but I couldn't help
but hear your desire for destruction upon Darkness.
I have always found Shallam's (and her allies') lust for destruction of
my Father's realm interesting. We have not, in many many decades at
least, actively sought nor wished the destruction of Light and
Light-like things, yet we are still being wished death upon. Granted,
there are some of Us who probably do not care too much for the Light (we
are shadow dwelling creatures, after all), but we do not seek an active
end to all that is, presumably, Light.
Pay close attention children! Here is your metaphorical lesson for the
day!
Light and Darkness may not be merry partners, but one cannot be
differentiated from another without the other. If there were no Light,
would the world not be only Darkness? If there were no Darkness, would
the world not be only Light? If it were only Darkness or only Light,
would you still call it Darkness and Light, or would you simply refer to
it as that which Is? Meanwhile, Darkness has many things to teach the
Light and the Light has many things to teach Darkness, it is a pity that
such a thing cannot occur, because the Light is too suspicious of the
Darkness' intentions, and Darkness is too wary of the knife sticking out
of the Light's proverbial pocket. Such sadness at what is lost.
Meanwhile, you, Logain, a small, young
previously-Shallamite-now-the-"evil"-side-of-Mark, have the nerve to
wish a demise on something you do not understand and cannot grasp? What
a pitiful thing, child, that you seek to destroy that which you have not
the slightest idea about.
And that you did it from behind a title of "the Shadow" no less!
